Location Data

To participate in the ride-sharing service provided by Jidō, we collect precise location data from your device. We collect this data when the app is running in the foreground (app open and on-screen) and, for drivers, in the background (app open but not on-screen) to ensure accurate trip tracking, calculate fares, and locate nearby drivers/passengers.

• Trip Coordination: To match passengers with nearby drivers.
• Safety & Tracking: To allow users to track the progress of the ride in real-time.
• Fare Calculation: To calculate the cost based on distance traveled.

Face Data and Images

Our app collects and uses image data to ensure the safety and integrity of our community.

• What we collect: We collect profile photos and identification documents uploaded by the user. We do not collect or process biometric data, facial mapping, or any information from the TrueDepth camera system for biometric identification.
• Use of Data: Collected images are used exclusively for user identification (allowing passengers and drivers to recognize each other) and for account security verification.
• Sharing & Storage: Image data is not shared with any third parties. All photos are stored securely on our encrypted servers.
• Retention Policy: We retain this data only as long as your account remains active. Upon account deletion, all associated image data is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days.

The app does use third-party services that may collect information used to identify you.

• Google Play Services

Log Data

In case of an error in the app, we collect data and information (through third-party products) on your phone called Log Data. This may include your IP address, device name, operating system version, and the time/date of your use of the Service.

Security

We value your trust in providing us your Personal Information, thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. However, remember that no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

Children’s Privacy

These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 years of age.
